Cheryl L. Adams, DVM, graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996 and came to Ocala, Florida, where she completed her Equine Intership at Peterson and Smith. After working on horses for six years, she made the move to small animals as she preferred working with clients and their furry family members. Her main professional interests are heartworm disease prevention and treatment, senior wellness care, and internal medicine for pets. Dr. Adams volunteers at the Buddy Feral Cat program in Sarasota monthly helping to spay and neuter feral cats in the area. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Louisiana Tech University. When not working, Dr. Adams enjoys spending time with her husband on their farm and riding horses.
